A Moment of Grace

A morning moment of peace turns to a fleeing run.

In the depths of a morning translucent fog

a lone deer grazed under a crooked apple tree.

I quietly crept to the window for a chance

at a rare photograph,

one that would capture such grace.

Instead I spooked her!

She ran for dear life,

waving her whitetail for all to see.

You see, she had to run.

There was no other way for her.

Sometimes we feel the need to run,

to flee from the pain or disappointments of life.

Instead, stay.

Breathe.

Just be.

Don’t run away from your problems…stand strong and endure the lessons.

This is wisdom learned from many mistakes and the gift of time.

Happy days to you all. God Bless.❤️

  1. Beautiful– love how you tied this all together… And I need this reminder about now. Still in the middle of our big problem here and I’d love to run away– but trusting God day by day to see us through in his love and mercy. thank you friend. xox

  2. Oh Mary, I love this! What a beautiful reminder to stay with ourselves and our lessons, that they are there to assist us in loving awareness. ❤

Also, I wanted to say that I was JUST thinking about you today, and then you liked my post. How neat is that? 🙂

It would be lovely if you want to contribute this to Forgiving Fridays … you may already know, it's a creative prompt I do to encourage readers to share something that inspires them to forgive, to love, etc. Anyway, if you'd like to, you can include a pingback to my most recent post plus #ForgivingFridays in your tags. (Here's my most recent post if helpful, Mary: https://forgivingconnects.com/2017/08/04/todays-forgiving-fridays-endless-compassion/ )

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Know that I am thinking of you!
